Our Services
- Alternative To Inpatient Program
- This program was designed as an alternative to an inpatient
treatment program. The ATIP group allows clients to receive intensive
treatment for alcoholism and chemical dependency while allowing them to
remain at home and not miss any time from work or school. Beacon Center
fills every minute with support, information and education, while attending
to clients' physical, mental, and spiritual well being. ATIP sessions meet
for two hours per day, up to six days per week.
- Adolescent Program
- For many adolescents, the years of excitement and challenge are,
oftentimes , filled with frustration and despair. Falling grades, a rising
temper, or waning levels of interest in activities that were once important
to a teenager can signal a more serious problem, such as involvement with
alcohol or other drugs. This program teaches adolescents about their alcohol
or other drug abuse, how to deal with peer pressure, how to improve their
self-esteem, and how to have fun without the use of alcohol or other drugs.
Family participation is also highly encouraged.
- The Magdalene Program
- This treatment program is designed specifically to address the
concerns of persons who are chemically dependent and have used prostitution
as a means of supporting their addiction. This program not only addresses
the need for abstinence from all mood altering substances, but also seeks to
equip participants with the tools required to live law-abiding lifestyles.
Topics covered in this program include healing from the trauma of childhood
sexual abuse and the establishment of personal boundaries. A goal of this
program is to address those vocational and educational issues needed for
clients to obtain legal employment.
- Judicial Assessment and Monitoring
- Beacon Center provides judges and attorneys with treatment
alternatives to incarceration for alcohol or chemically dependent clients
who would benefit from outpatient therapy. This service addresses the root
causes of their criminal behavior. Staff are available to complete
assessments at court and make a recommendation at that time. Clients are
carefully monitored and regular reports are provided to the court.
- Anger Management Program
- This program is designed for clients needing anger management
skills. Anger is addressed as a trigger to relapse into alcohol or other
drug use. Clients will learn what appropriate and inappropriate expressions
of anger are and explore why they react as they do. They will learn to deal
with their anger in healthy, productive ways.
